The first time I heard a gong in Savasana I was wowed out. It was an immediate connection and I knew I had to get my hands on one myself. I realize the idea of a gong bath may be a little "out there" for some but if you haven't been or if you're just a little curious I highly recommend joining me to celebrate on Saturday March 17th from 6pm -730pm for a special Spring Equinox Gong Bath.
Recognizing the Equinox, we use nature's example to emerge from the darkness of winter. Winter, a season of endings and time for retrospection and Spring the season of growth and renewal, now with the energy of the Gong Bath it's a great time to get yourself centered and develop seeds of intention for what you want next.
For the most relaxing experience during a Gong Bath, you'll want to lie down but chairs are available if you prefer.
Lying on the floor you'll use blankets and bolsters to create a comfortable spot, I even recommend using an eye pillow to cover the eyes. The next step is to relax, you don't have to figure out anything or try to create a way to explain what you're hearing or feeling. The range of tones created from the Gongs (and Crystal Singing Bowls too) create layers of sound, the vibrations lull you in a dream like state that is restful and meditative.
As a parting gift for joining me, everyone will receive a heart shaped piece of seed paper. I invite you to write your intention on the heart and plant it where you'll be able to literally watch it spring to life.
(And I invite you to come back in June for the Summer Solstice to set your intentions on fire)
