Alex Young began her yogic journey in 2001 following many years of ballet training and teaching. Alex completed her Ashtanga teacher training with David Swenson in Dec 2005. While working at the Omega Institute in NY, Alex had the incredible opportunity to train with some of the leading national yoga teachers. In Denver, she completed Samadhi Center for Yoga’s Teacher Training program as well as a 40 hour pre-natal yoga training program, and began teaching there as well as managing the studio. In Tucson, AZ Alex was blessed to teach yoga at 4th Avenue Yoga and yoga, meditation and mindfulness at Miraval. She was fortunate enough to attend trauma centered yoga training with Seane Corn, and it was here that the idea for WarriorOne emerged. WarriorOne is a nonprofit organization that brings both free and accessible classes to military bases both domestically and abroad, as well as offers scholarhsips for active duty military members and their spouses to attend yoga, mediation and mindfulness trainings. Her classes are vinyasa based with a strong focus on personal awareness and community development.
