Spark your soul's awakening by igniting your inner spiritual fire during this uplifting 90 minute Vinyasa flow class. Vinyasa is the movement of the body and the breath together in order to balance the nervous system and bring about mental tranquility. The body-breath movement generates heat, which is then used to burn away impurities that hinder the movement of energy in and through the body. Once the nervous system is calm, the senses become calm and the mind follows. This unbelievably fun class will leave you feeling open and alive! This workshop is mostly asana.

ParaYoga honors all approaches while at the same time reaching back to the teachings that are its authentic source and its most powerful expression. Potentially Asana is more than a way to undo or release stress or focus the mind. In ParaYoga, the aim of Asana is more than improved health, flexibility and strength. It is used as a technique to balance the main forces that sustain mind and the body. Yoga is not just asana, but pranayama and meditation. Asana represents the past while pranayama represents the present and meditation represents the future. ParaYoga pays respect to our past that led us to where we are at this time, but reminds us that there is much more for us in the future.

In Yogic tradition, the human body has seven energy centers called chakras. When these energy centers are healthy and open, so are we--physically, emotionally, and in our relationships. But when they are blocked through injury, illness, or disconnection from others, we are blocked from being our best selves. In this class we will look at the location of each chakra, what may bring the chakra into a state of imbalance and and what we can do to keep our chakras happy and healthy.
